Newtown, Aurora: Skepticism is Warranted
Official stories of the recent mass killings in Newtown and Aurora may be about as believable as the official story of 9/11, and they may be serving the same purpose as the official 9/11 story: to strengthen the ruling class's power over us.
Here is why I'm beginning to be suspicious the official stories are not the whole truth.
Please google "operation gladio." One (of many) sites is this one, where one can read the following:
'You had to attack civilians, the people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple: to force ... the public to turn to the state to ask for greater security."
This was the essence of Operation Gladio, a decades-long covert campaign of terrorism and deceit directed by the intelligence services of the West -- against their own populations. Hundreds of innocent people were killed or maimed in terrorist attacks -- on train stations, supermarkets, cafes and offices -- which were then blamed on "leftist subversives" or other political opponents. The purpose, as stated above in sworn testimony by Gladio agent Vincenzo Vinciguerra, was to demonize designated enemies and frighten the public into supporting ever-increasing powers for government leaders -- and their elitist cronies.
First revealed by Italian Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti in 1991, Gladio (from the Latin for "sword") is still protected to this day by its founding patrons, the CIA and MI6. Yet parliamentary investigations in Italy, Switzerland and Belgium have shaken out a few fragments of the truth over the years. These have been gathered in a new book, "NATO's Secret Armies: Operation Gladio and Terrorism in Western Europe," by Daniele Ganser, as Lila Rajiva reports on CommonDreams.org.
Notice that the effect of these recent mass killings is to direct our attention, and our fears, against ordinary (maybe somewhat geeky) young people who may be our neighbor or co-worker or friend's son and who may at any time without any warning go bonkers and start killing us when we least expect it. Notice that while this is what is on everybody's mind, the government is gutting Social Security. Notice that these mass killings define "the problem in our society" as ordinary Americans who are evil, and not the truly evil ruling class. And notice that the solution to "the problem in our society" is to further disarm the American people while leaving the ruling class armed to the teeth (and free to kill more innocent children with drones than all of the victims of the school/theater/mall shooters combined.) Like the 9/11 attack: How convenient!
Now please google MKULTRA. There are lots of sites. At this one you can read:
Project MKUltra was the code name for a covert research operation experimenting in the behavioral engineering of humans (mind control) through the CIA's Scientific Intelligence Division. The program began in the early 1950s, was officially sanctioned in 1953, was reduced in scope in 1964, further curtailed in 1967 and "officially halted" in 1973.[1] The program engaged in many illegal activities[2][3][4]; in particular it used unwitting U.S. and Canadian citizens as its test subjects, which led to controversy regarding its legitimacy.[5][6][7][8] MKUltra involved the use of many methodologies to manipulate people's individual mental states and alter brain functions, including the surreptitious administration of drugs (especially LSD) and other chemicals, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, isolation, verbal and sexual abuse, as well as various forms of torture.[9]
The scope of Project MKUltra was broad, with research undertaken at 80 institutions, including 44 colleges and universities, as well as hospitals, prisons and pharmaceutical companies.[10] The CIA operated through these institutions using front organizations, although sometimes top officials at these institutions were aware of the CIA's involvement.[11] MKUltra was allocated 6 percent of total CIA funds.[12]
Project MKUltra was first brought to public attention in 1975 by the Church Committee of the U.S. Congress, and a Gerald Ford commission to investigate CIA activities within the United States. Investigative efforts were hampered by the fact that CIA Director Richard Helms ordered all MKUltra files destroyed in 1973; the Church Committee and Rockefeller Commission investigations relied on the sworn testimony of direct participants and on the relatively small number of documents that survived Helms' destruction order.[13]
In 1977, a Freedom of Information Act request uncovered a cache of 20,000 documents relating to project MKUltra, which led to Senate hearings later that same year.[6] In July of 2001 some surviving information regarding MKUltra was officially declassified.
How can we be sure MKUltra isn't still going on, as part of a domestic version of Operation Gladio? It's not as if the kind of people who run the government would not do such things anymore. In fact the U.S. government is run by mass murderers, as discussed in some detail here.
This video provides evidence that there were four people (Adam Lanza and three others) involved in committing the Newtown shootings. [Since I first wrote this the link to the above video, which contained primary audio and video source material, became broken. This article is useful, though it lacks the primary source material of the video. Here is a Fox video referring (at time 1:10) to a second person of whom the police officer says, "We've got him. He's coming at me, down..." A local CBS affiliate reported:
'CBS News reports that a potential second suspect was in custody and that SWAT was investigating the home of the suspect. It was not known if that alleged second suspect fired any of the shots in the massacre. A witness tells WFSB-TV that a second man was taken out of the woods in handcuffs wearing a black jacket and camouflage pants and telling parents on the scene, “I did not do it.”' This ABC video says there were initially reports of two shooters, and does not say they have any more recent evidence to the contrary. ]
This web site provides evidence that there were at least two people involved in committing the Aurora theater killings.
Were the other people involved in the Newtown and Aurora shootings the actual killers, using a drugged up Adam Lanza and James Holmes as patsies? Were the actual shooters CIA, as were the actual shooters who killed JFK and who used Oswald as a patsy? (James Douglass makes an exceedingly persuasive case here that the CIA killed Kennedy, not Oswald. Also see evidence here.) Is this why the "extra perpetrators" disappear from the official story after the day-1 reports mention them?
Damned if I know! But I sure intend to be skeptical of official stories about horrible mass killings that so conveniently deflect our fear of the ruling class onto fear of geeky American youths.

According to many reports such as this one the weapon that killed the Newtown children was a rifle:
"All the victims at the school were shot with a rifle, at least some of them up close, and all were apparently shot more than once, Chief Medical Examiner Dr. H. Wayne Carver said."
The specific rifle was an AR-15, as reported in many sites including this one by the NYT.
And yet so far as I have been able to determine a rifle is not reported in the initial news reports as being among the weapons found near Lanza's dead body. This media outlet reports:
"NBC News reported Lanza among the dead and that he was dressed all in black. Two 9mm handguns were recovered at the scene, which Lt. Vance said had been secured."
Here's another "at the time" report that say
"Two guns have been recovered."
It sure seems that two handguns were found near Lanza's body and not a rifle. Had a rifle been found near his body it would have been, if anything, more likely to have been reported in these initial reports, if only because it is bigger and more conspicuous.
A rifle was indeed found, but not near Lanza's body; rather in the trunk of a car outside, according to this (and many other) video reports.
Now the "official" story is that the children were killed by a rifle, with no account that I have been able to find of why that rifle was not found near Lanza's body.
If the Chief Medical Examiner is correctly quoted and correct in his opinion that the children were killed by a rifle, and if there was no rifle found near Lanza's body, then this would strongly suggest that a second shooter killed the children with a rifle and managed to escape with the weapon, and that it just happened to be the same type (same kind of bullets) of weapon as the rifle found in the car trunk after the shootings.
A good investigation would, among other things, try to determine if the wound to Lanza is or is not consistent with a self-inflicted wound, rather than just presuming it to be self-inflicted based on the theory that he was the only armed person.
POSTSCRIPT DECEMBER 29, 2012
This NBC video asserts that four handguns and only handguns, but no rifle, were found near Lanza's body. There is also video footage of the Medical Examiner saying that the children were killed with a rifle.
POSTSCRIPT JANUARY 25, 2013: Excellent article mainly about Sandy Hook unanswered questions but also unanswered questions regarding earlier mass shootings.
POSTSCRIPT FEBRUARY 16, 2014: Video of (and an article by) Wolfgang W. Halbig, a former state police officer and school safety expert, saying that "the pieces just don't fit" in the Sandy Hook official story, and that he was threatened by state police with legal prosecution for a felony if he continued asking questions with the Freedom of Information procedure. Halbig says he doesn't believe anybody was actually killed at Sandy Hook. That would mean the photographs and names of the Sandy Hook victims that appear in this article and the newspaper articles about things like the funerals of the victims, such as this one, are all false. I admit, that's hard to believe. It would mean that lots of Newtown families are lying. Halbig suggests this is the case, and that they have been paid to lie. Hard to believe! But also hard to believe is that Mr. Halbig's story--his background and his many reasons for saying the official story makes no sense and his being threatened for asking simple questions--is all a fake. I await further developments as Mr. Halbig pursues his investigation. This Snopes.com page rebuts many of the claims made by those who say Sandy Hook was a staged hoax; but it doesn't (at least not yet) mention Mr. Haldig one way or the other.
One of the pieces that Halbig says doesn't fit is that the police who responded to the 9/11 call parked their cars a quarter of a mile away from the school, and the first police officer who arrived waited there for others to come instead of immediately moving to neutralize the threat of the shooter. Halbig says this violates standard procedure. This newspaper article independently reports that the police parked a quarter mile away and that the first to arrive waited there for the others.
Another piece that Haldig says doesn't fit is that when paramedics and EMTs arrived quickly at the school (from the nearby firestation) they were not allowed inside even after it was known that the shooter was dead. This Washington Post article independently confirms this. It also indicates that the excuse for not letting the paramedics and EMTs go inside, to treat victims who may have been injured and even appear dead but still be alive, was that "a paramedic exited the building and told Chief Halstead that everybody who was still inside would not be coming out." Haldig points out that in this kind of situation only the Coroner or a licensed physician can declare a person to be legally dead.
I googled "Wolfgang Halbig -Sandy -Newtown" (but without the quotation marks) to see what is online about the man unrelated to Sandy Hook. There are lots of articles that, in combination, seem very much to confirm that he is exactly who he says he is. Also, he has a history of calling out corruption, as this article indicates.

Postscript January 7, 2016: In this video a Newtown selectwoman says the "Everybody Must Check In" sign at the Sandy Hook school was placed there by Homeland Security. Here are more videos that cast doubt on the official Sandy Hook story:
