The Palestine/Israel Conflict & "War on Terror"

To Our Readers:

Same-sex marriage is currently an omnipresent and hotly controversial issue which we have not written about. There are conflicting opinions within New Democracy over this issue, as there are conflicting views among good people everywhere about it.

Gay marriage is a very unusual issue, in the sense that it is both a distraction from other issues, like the war and the economy, and yet is itself an issue of great consequence to human society.

Given these facts, we would like to sponsor a debate on gay marriage and on other controversial "cultural" issues, in which people can have respectful, meaningful exchanges of views on highly-charged topics. We begin with two brief articles (in the lefthand column).
